Director's Message
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to The HD Foundation School family!
The HD Foundation School prides itself on being a unique institution in Haldwani. We started our journey in 2014 with just five children and have steadily added one class each year, maintaining our unwavering commitment to quality education over rapid expansion.
In spite of pressure from all quarters to expand quickly, we remained focused on quality as our foremost criterion. This is in keeping with our philosophy that more classrooms or bigger buildings do not necessarily make an educational institution excellent. A school should be known for what it stands for: quality teachers and quality learning!
Our endeavors and efforts are directed toward ensuring the children of Haldwani receive the academic exposure they truly deserve. We strive to make HDFS the best school in the region, setting benchmarks in early childhood education.
Our sprawling green lawns, trees, and natural surroundings give a special character to the school and, in many ways, are extensions of what we stand for: open minds, open hearts, and an inclusive educational system that gives every child an opportunity to be their best.

It gives me immense pleasure to be associated with The HD Foundation School, an institution where academics, sports, co-curricular activities, and holistic development are given priority above all else.
Our children and teachers share a natural love for learning, which manifests beautifully in our classroom practices. Our teachers undergo intensive training and are not timid in their pursuit of research and self-development. As a team, we believe that personal growth depends on information, knowledge, skills, proper etiquette, and sensitivity to the social and natural environment.
We believe that a good teacher is irreplaceable, even by the otherwise informative and interactive digital learning platforms. Classroom teaching with individual attention to each child and our small class size creates an advantageous and amicable learning platform.
Our team has a conscious sense of ownership. Each one of us, including our office and support staff, is personally involved in the care and well-being of our students. We work round-the-clock for our students' welfare and engage personally with parents, treating them as active partners in the learning process.
I firmly believe that teachers shape the future of the world and must be respected accordingly. "As you sow, so shall you reap". This adage holds in education. School education is the most vital catalyst in a person's life, and I wish that HDFS continues to deliver its best and contribute meaningfully to society.

Counsellor's Message
At The HD Foundation School, we recognize that emotional and social development are as crucial as academic achievement. As the school counselor, my role is to support the holistic growth of every child, helping them navigate their emotions, build self-confidence, and develop healthy relationships.
We create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel heard, understood, and valued. Through guided sessions, classroom activities, and one-on-one interactions, we help students understand their feelings, express themselves constructively, and develop resilience.
Our counseling program focuses on:
- Emotional intelligence development
- Conflict resolution and peer mediation
- Stress management and mindfulness
- Building self-esteem and positive identity
- Supporting transition phases and adjustment
Parents are welcome to schedule counseling sessions or consultations to discuss their child's development. Together, we can ensure that every child at HDFS grows into a balanced, confident, and compassionate individual.
