Welcome to The HD Foundation School
A Magical Land for Children in the Heart of Haldwani!
The school is excellently situated in the centre of Haldwani, amidst green and open surroundings, currently covering an area of 50,000 sq.ft. The school is named after Shri Hari Dutt Joshi, whose name is also associated with the Haridutt Nityanand School, Haldwani and Haldwani Furniture Mart. We hope and aspire to carry forward his vision and enterprising spirit.
Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and what a child experiences in his formative years have a major impact on their future. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right.
With a focus and commitment for the overall development of a child at the foundation stages of life, The HD Foundation School is fully equipped to impart early education from Pre-Nursery through Class V.
Our well-ventilated classrooms offer the right atmopshere for learning. Each classroom has been especially designed keeping in mind that learning is facilitated by providing the right atmopshere to the children. Every detail has been kept in mind — even the colour scheme of each classroom in an example of the length we have gone to make our children happy and comfortable. The strength of each class has been kept at a manageable level and comfortable classroom furniture adds to the ambience.

From the Director's Desk
It is with great pleasure I welcome you to the The HD Foundation School family!
The HD Foundation School prides itself in being a unique school in Haldwani. We hope to make education a holistic word and include every area of learning in school. We started the school with just five children in 2014 and continue to upgrade a class every year.
In spite of pressure from all quarters to go full-fledged from day one, we remained calm and kept quality as a foremost criterion. This is in keeping with the philosophy that more classrooms or bigger buildings don't necessarily make an educational institution.
A school should be known for what it stands for — quality teachers and quality learning! Our endeavor and efforts are directed toward the children of Haldwani getting the much-needed academic exposure they deserve.
We strive to make HDFS the best school in the region. Our sprawling green lawns, trees and fauna give a special touch to the school and in many ways are extensions of what the school stands for — open minds, open hearts and an educational system which does not discriminate and gives each child an opportunity to be the best.

Message from the Chief Administrator Officer
Our children and teachers have a natural love for learning and this manifests in our classroom practices
It gives me immense pleasure to be associated with The HD Foundation School. It is one of those institutions where academics, sports, extra-curricular and holistic development are given priority over any other thing. The children's curiosity keeps us alive and kicking each day. Our teachers undergo intensive training and do not exhibit any timidity in research and self-development. As a team we believe that personal growth is dependent on information, knowledge, skills, etiquette and sensitivity to the social and natural environment.
Our children and teachers have a natural love for learning and this manifests in our classroom practices. We believe that a good teacher is irreplaceable even by the otherwise informative and interactive digital learning platform. Classroom teaching with individual attention to each child and a small class size sets us on an advantageous and an amicable learning platform.
Our team has a conscious sense of ownership and each one of us, including our office staff and support staff, is personally involved in taking care of our students. We work round-the-clock for our students' welfare. We also engage personally with the parents and try to provide the best solutions to their queries. We treat parents as active partners in the learning schemata.
I feel that teachers in our school and all around the world must be respected as they shape the future of the world! However, hackneyed it may sound, I firmly believe in the old adage — “As you sow, so shall you reap”. I believe that school education is the most vital catalyst in a person's life and I wish that HDFS shall be able to deliver her best and contribute to the world and the society around her.
